First off, these are delicious- the best kale chips I have ever made. I did not have any roasted peppers so I left it out. The only thing that needs adjusting is the time it takes in the oven. I am 40 minutes into it and still have only removed half of the kale chips that are ready, from the trays. The rest went back into the oven. I would say an hour in the oven is what is needed to get good crisp chips.
First, I am assuming the white beans are 1/2 cup rinsed and drained. If wanting to use an air fryer what is the temp/time?
Is it half cup of beans if you choose to use beans?
I do not want to discourage anyone making this ( nacho cheese kale chips)...I feel confident it was my error...anyway I used beans instead of nuts and the sauce was very liquid. I put in the oven at 300° because had I used the air fryer it would have taken almost 2 hours to cook it all! It stayed kind of sloppy until I had added 35 more minutes to the 25! Then they were all stuck to the parchment paper and I was not happy with the end result. Based on this can you maybe figure out what I did wrong?? I am always trying to make kale chips and I was hopeful for this recipe!!
